Who We Are

Laura Leyshon is a passionate storyteller with over 20 years of experience in visual communications. With a Master's degree in Photojournalism, a graduate diploma in Gastronomic Tourism, and studies in design and communications, Laura is continually learning to offer skills above and beyond the basics in the field. With years of professional editorial experience, she is a storyteller with a great eye and excellent communication skills.

As a newspaper photographer in both Canada and Sweden, Laura shot everything from business portraits to news to the arts to politics, real estate, sports and everything in between. This path introduced her to a new passion and a ten-year career photographing food, chefs and restaurants, including L’Abattoir, Coquille, Vij’s, and Cactus Club, to name a few. While being inside these restaurants, Laura fell in love with their unique interiors and started photographing them while she waited. She found that, just as every portrait tells a unique story, every room does as well.

Laura’s images have been published in major newspapers and magazines worldwide, including Montecristo Magazine, the Globe and Mail, Canadian Geographic and Dagens Nyheter, and exhibited at venues including Fotografiska Museum in Stockholm, Sweden and IKEA, Canada.
